Mortgage Interest Rates Today: BB&T Mortgage Rates RoundupThe interest rate on the 30-year fixed home purchase mortgage inched higher this Thursday at Branch Banking and Trust (NYSE:BBT). The current rate is 3.625%, which is a tad higher than yesterday’s 3.500%. Other than that, we haven’t noticed much changes regarding BB&T’s home purchase rates. On the other hand, we have observed some movements in refinance mortgages. BB&T is now offering the 30-year fixed refinance loan at a slightly higher rate in the form of 3.875%. The interest rate on the 20-year FRM crept higher to 3.625%. Those looking to take on the 15-year fixed mortgage, will see a rate of 3.000%. The 10-year version of this fixed package is coming out at 2.875% as of Thursday. Current mortgage rates and loan options can be seen below.
