Regarding average mortgage interest rates, Bankrate’s (NYSE:RATE) mortgage survey released last week showed, that the interest rate on 30-year mortgage loans dropped to 4.03% from the former 4.07%. The survey also revealed, that the interest rate on the 15-year FRM sank to 3.28% last week. On the other hand, the more flexible 5/1 ARM now has an average rate of 3.26%, an uptick compared to figures from the prior week, according to the firm’s data.

McLean, Virginia-based housing-finance company Freddie Mac said last week that the average rate on the 30-year fixed mortgage rose to 3.93%, a higher interest rate compared to data from a week earlier. According to the company’s weekly survey, the 15-year FRM also ticked up and now it stands at 3.2%.
