iPhone 4S Defeats Android Smartphones as October Sales Lift
30th November 2011
For the first time in a while, iPhone 4S is leading the way by beating its Android competitors. Based on statistics from October, the release of the newest smartphone, the iPhone 4S is making Apple more popular.
The whole business of smartphones has always been a popularity contest, sources say. Just last month, Apple nabbed a big share of the market and at 42.8%, it is probably the biggest and most significant number for the technology giant for a long time. The Android competitors were right behind Apple’s iPhone 4S though at 35%.
While Apple can celebrate their October sales, Android is still leading against the Cupertino lot based on an October report.
Although Apple’s iPhone 4S is considered by industry professionals as a disappointment, iPhone buyers and Apple fans are fiercely loyal since according to the statistics from the past few months, 75% of those who bought an iPhone 4S had owned an iPhone before. This is somewhat surprising considering that there were only minor upgrades done to the iPhone 4S.
It seems that the Siri-equipped iPhone 4S complete with a snarky and rather robotic butler, a semi-improved camera and a powerful processor are reasons enough for Apple fans to buy the 4S.
